I often say (and truly mean it) that I would not be able to do what I do without my testers. So as a small thank you to them, I feature them here!
This time is the wonderful Pamela of Pammy's Bare Beanie. She is an amazing lady and does so much for the crafting community. She shares posts, cheers designers and other crafters on and is one of the sweetest people I have met on this crochet journey of mine!
I asked her a few questions and here are her answers!
Who taught you to crochet? And how long have you been crocheting?
My sister taught me to crochet when I was 18. I crocheted off and on over the years but not much. I picked it back up a couple years ago and first tested for Janaya at Charmed by Ewe and Sarah at Briar Rose Boutique.
What other crafts do you enjoy besides crochet?
I enjoy most any fiber related craft: latch hook, needlepoint, sewing and, yes, knitting. My mom gave me the book "I Can't Believe I'm Knitting" when I wanted to learn. My grandma was a wiz with a pair of knitting needles.
Who and what is your crafting inspiration?
My Grandma Bare was and is my inspiration for learning to knit and crochet and is where the name Pammy's Bare Beanie came from. My family and designers have all been encouraging. If not for Crystal at Crystalized Designs giving me a little shove, I may have always been too scared to try garments. I have an ever growing family to create for so that is a big one. I have been married to my husband for almost 16 years. We have a blended family. Together we raised 6 kids under one, at times, small roof. We have 10 grandchildren and another due to arrive next month. I love that my husband supports my crafty habit.
Which other designers do you enjoy? Who are your favorites?
That's a loaded question! LOL
Heidi at Snappy Tots, Tara at Mamachee Crochet Makes Me Happy, Jennifer at A Crochet Simplicity, Kate of Crafting Friends, Kelli at Sick 'Lil Monkeys.
It is a very long list and I could keep going. You have all been such an inspiration.
What is your favorite pattern of mine?
I hope that y'all enjoyed learning a little more about Pamela! Stay tuned as I continue to feature my testers.
